What our customers say

1000+ systems installed and 3MW+ of capacity running across Maharashtra.

Rajesh SharmaLatur, Maharashtra · 3 kW On-Grid System₹35,000/year saved per year
We run chilling units all day, so the electricity cost was killing us. They sized the system after seeing two years of our bills. Eight months in, the savings are exactly what they said.
Priya DesaiAusa, Latur · 25 kW Commercial System₹3.6L/year saved per year
Two years running without a problem. When one inverter needed service, their team came the next day. That responsiveness is why we went with a local company.

Questions people ask us

How much does a solar system cost in India?

Solar system costs in India typically range from ₹45,000 to ₹75,000 per kW depending on the type of system (on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid), panel quality, and location. A typical 3 kW residential system costs ₹1.5L–₹2.25L before subsidies. After PM Surya Ghar subsidy, the net cost reduces significantly.

What is the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is the Government of India's flagship solar subsidy scheme for residential consumers. It provides subsidies of ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW, and ₹78,000 for 3 kW systems. The scheme aims to provide free electricity to 1 crore households.

How long does solar installation take?

Residential solar installations typically take 1–3 days for the physical installation. However, the complete process including consultation, design, approvals, and net metering registration takes 2–4 weeks. Commercial and industrial projects may take 4–12 weeks depending on scale.

What is the lifespan of a solar panel?

High-quality solar panels last 25–30 years with gradual degradation of about 0.5% per year. The solar inverter typically has a lifespan of 10–15 years. Most premium panels come with a 25-year performance warranty guaranteeing at least 80% output after 25 years.

What happens during grid failures?

On-grid solar systems automatically shut down during grid failures for safety reasons. If you need power during outages, we recommend a hybrid system with battery storage. Off-grid systems operate completely independently and provide power 24/7.

Do you provide maintenance services?

Yes, Solarelites provides comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). Our maintenance includes regular panel cleaning, performance monitoring, inverter servicing, and 24/7 remote diagnostics. First-year maintenance is included free with every installation.

Can solar panels work during monsoon and cloudy days?

Solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy days, typically at 10–25% of peak capacity. Modern high-efficiency panels are designed to perform better in diffused light conditions. Net metering allows you to export surplus summer energy and draw grid power during rainy seasons.

How do I apply for a government subsidy?

Solarelites handles the entire subsidy application process on your behalf. We prepare all documents, submit applications to the National Portal for Rooftop Solar (https://pmsuryagarh.gov.in), coordinate with your local DISCOM, and follow up until subsidy disbursement.
